This painting is a fantasy of Andalusian Granada, which has always inspired me and captured the hearts of onlookers... Here, I spread letters across the canvas, intertwining, intersecting, colliding, and some melting into others to keep the text alive, open, and extending to the utmost limits of meaning… And Granada is the ultimate tale of beauty, for there are cities with history, but Granada is history itself... A blessed spot on earth that took from the pomegranate its color and name, and my brush took from it the shape of the Alhambra's domes and the color of the Albaicín's walls.
